DEATH OF MAJ. K. R. S. MORLEY
Major Kenneth R. S. Moorley (27), Royal Army Ordnance Corps, formerly of Fairfield-road, Derby, has died on active service.
An Old Derbeian, Major Moorley served his apprenticeship as an engineer with the L.M.S. at Derby. He later held an appointment on the staff of Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.
Major Morley joined the Special Army Reserve shortly before the war, and had been on active service for nearly three years. He served in France and was evacuated from Dunkirk.
A keen sportsman, he was a well-known member of the Derby Rowing Club, and was associated for several years associated with the Derby Rugby Club.
